The Platte County Sheriff’s Office is investigating the theft of a new John Deere Gator UTV valued at approximately $16,000, stolen from Platte Valley Equipment located just south of the Highways 81 & 91 junction.

The theft is believed to have occurred late Thursday 01-09-14 or early Friday 01-01-14 morning. It is believed that the UTV was removed from the scene by use of a trailer or driven off.

The incident remains under in investigation by the Platte County Sheriff’s Office.


The Platte County Sheriff's Office is investigating a burglary that occured at Blazer Mfg. sometime between 6:00 P.M. Friday 12-13-13 and 8:00 A.M. Sunday 12-15-13. Suspect(s) gained entry to the building by prying open a door. Once inside a estimated $2,000 worth of products were taken. Stolen items included 10 Stainless Steel Vault lids, 30 Aluminum Vault lids, 1 55 gallon drum containing aluminum scrap, 1 55 gallon drum containing stainless steel scrap, 106 pieces of 11/2"X20" aluminum tubing and various tools.
