Higgins Memorial

The Kin Seekers have walked all the cemeteries in the county and periodically retrace and update them. From these outings, Cemetery Books have been compiled and are available for purchase by writing to "Publications Chairperson, % 100th Meridan Museum, PO Box 325, Cozad, NE  69130"  The Kin Seekers have copies of these Cemetery Books and invite you to visit their library at the Platte County Museum if you would like to look at these Cemetery Books.

Obituaries from clipping of area newspapers have been compiled and are available at the PVKS's library. You can search for an obituary by name on the Internet at the Columbus Search Page or contact us by phone or e-mail and we can tell you if we have the obituary for the name you are seeking.  If the name is not on the list, we are willing to search the newspapers we have access to for the obituaries you are seeking.  We also have the obituaries continuing after 2007 that are not included on the listing.  We can supply you with copies of the newspaper clipping(s) either by mail or send to you through e-mail.  The charge is $5.00 for each obituary that you request a copy of up to the first ten.  If more obituaries are needed, you will be charged an additional $2.50 for each with a limit of 25 obituaries per request.

The Kin Seekers have currently completed organizing hundreds of obituaries from Colfax County with donated newspapers from that area.  If you are seeking someone from that area, please check with us as we may have one to share with you.
