The Platte County Sheriff's Office Dive Rescue Team is made up primarily of Sheriff's Office personnel with additional divers from the Columbus Police Department. The Dive Rescue Team was formed in 1984. Since that time, it has been responsible for numerous recoveries of drowned victims and lost property, assisting with recoveries throughout the State of Nebraska.

The Dive Rescue Team is funded completely through donations and fund raising events by the Dive Team members. All divers are trained in numerous types of open water diving. The Dive Team is available upon request to make presentations to civic groups in and around Platte County. Your request for a presentation should be made through the Platte County Sheriff's Office.
