INTRODUCTION
At Northeast Nebraska Juvenile Services Center, residents are encouraged to participate in the many programs offered to them through out their stay. Resident programs are made available not only for entertainment purposes but also to foster physical and mental well being, religious and moral development, educational development, and personal growth. Several components make up the NNJSC's program offerings. They include a Behavior Program, Education program, Medical Services and Counseling. |

BEHAVIOR
PROGRAM
The Behavior program was developed with the belief that residents can be
successfully influenced through recognizing and rewarding positive
behavior and attitudes. Tokens are earned throughout the day
for participation and appropriate behavior. As more tokens are
earned and a resident moves up levels, she/he will acquire
privileges, such as a later bedtime and additional phone calls.

EDUCATION PROGRAM
All residents staying at the
Juvenile Services Center are required to participate in the
Education Program. Each resident is assessed to determine
individual ability and are offered work comparable to
the regular classes from their home district. GED instruction
is provided, and those who already have diplomas, are encouraged
to take college courses.

COMMUNITY/BUSINESS
INVOLVEMENT
Community involvement in
the NNJSC is always a healthy factor in the strength of our
facility. By utilizing outside leaders and educators,
NNJSC residents see a perspective on the world around them.
Volunteers come to the facility to discuss careers, health
matters, money management, sports, etc.

MEDICAL PROGRAM
NNJSC has a fully equipped
medical examination room that is staffed on a daily basis by a
medical professional. The Facility Nurse, in conjunction
with the Facility Physician, provides medical services to
residents and staff.
