Guided self-study for GED preparation, English as a Second Language Classes (including citizenship preparation), and one-on-one tutoring for adults available. Trained educators support students' individual educational goals.

Family Literacy activities for families with children
ages 3-10 are sponsored by Platte Valley Literacy Association
Li-BEAR-y School at no charge. Theresa Wachal, Family School
Coordinator, welcomes teen and adult volunteers to assist
families to "Be Enthusiastic About Reading" in the
children's room of the Library.

Platte Valley Literacy Association, a community based United Way agency; recruits, trains, and supports volunteers who wish to tutor adults or assist the Family Literacy program at the Columbus Public Library. Volunteers of all ages are welcome! Contact Lois Bertsch, Coordinator of Volunteers, 564-5196.
