BACKGROUND
The
motto of the Lute Foundation, Inc. "Pioneer Spirit for the Future
of Nebraska", speaks reflectively of the men who inspired its creation.
The Late Robert F. Lute Sr. and The Late Robert F. Lute Jr., were men
who tried to shape the future not only by lessons learned from experience,
but also by visions of what could be achieved through enterprise.
After the death of Robert Lute Sr. in November of 1994, Kathleen Lute, widow of Robert F. Lute Jr., established the Lute Foundation, Inc. on June 20, 1995. Endowing Robert F. Lute Sr's. entire estate to the Foundation and renouncing any and all control. Ms. Lute's only request was that all contributions be given to causes and organizations in Nebraska that are important to the community "in the spirit of the Lute family". The Executive Director, Rick Bourque, controls the day to day functions of the Lute Foundation, Inc., and Blake Edwards and Karl Elmshaeuser serve as directors. The Board of Directors of the Lute Foundation, Inc. are volunteers, and not compensated monetarily for their time or labor. The Lute Foundation, Inc. will continue to serve in the spirit in which it was created. It is our fervent hope that we will continue to further the tradition of the "Pioneer Spirit" that shaped the community the Lute Family continues to treasure. |
