NEWS FROM “THE FEDS” (High school group)

MISSION TRIP 08:  The first half of the money is due for the 2008 mission trip, ADVENTURE IN ARIZONA, the high school trip June 21-29^th. If your name is not on the list, it is not too late to sign up. The total cost of the trip is $150.00, so $75.00 is due on October 28^th. If it is not possible to pay this amount at that time, see Katie.

SPIRIT ON THE SUBWAY: ALL SUNDAYS IN NOVEMBER: PLAY PRACTICE 4:00---7:00. Please, do NOT be late!! We need everyone to be there on time and to be present. Remember, the first night of the production is Friday, November 30^th—it is coming up fast!! The second night and the cast party is Sunday, December 2^nd. Both performances are at 5:30 p.m. Thanks to the parents for the delicious meals every Sunday night! Thanks, too, for all the adult workers—what a wonderful group of people!!

HIGH SCHOOL LOCK IN - Friday, November 9^th: -sponsors are needed for this event. High school youth and friends are welcome. Please let Katie know as soon as possible whether you will be attending.

SINGING CHRISTMAS TREE - Saturday, December 8^th in Grand Island. Only 6 or 7 tickets left!! Sign up at church. Tickets are $12 each and include a sack lunch on the return trip. We will leave the south parking lot at 3:15; Denny will drive the bus. It will be a great evening! If you have already signed up for a ticket you may pay for it at the church office or give your money to Katie.

   PRINT CARTRIDGES: DON’T THROW AWAY YOUR OLD PRINT CARTRIDGES! Both color and black and white, please! The FEDS would like to ask you to bring your old print cartridges to church. There is a collection box in the Narthex and we will send these in to be recycled. Thank you in advance.

CHRISTMAS BAKE SALE SUNDAY, DECEMBER 16^th: Fundraiser for both mission trips.  Please bring your items Sunday morning, the 16^th. We will need the kids to work this. It will be a free will offering.

FEDDIES: (6^th grade through 8^th grade)

Thursday, November 15^th: Women’s Fellowship Event. Confirmands are helping with this as a service opportunity. Several of you have signed up, so I will be contacting you with details.

Saturday, November 3^rd: ICE SKATING at Tranquility Park in Omaha. Drivers are needed---please call Katie. Times and prices will be mailed to you at the end of October as they are not yet available. FEDDIES will go Christmas caroling on Sunday, December 9^th after the 10:30 service. Details forthcoming.

CHURCH SCHOOL . . . . . .

HAPPY THANKSGIVING -  On November 25^th, grades preschool through 7^th grade will meet as a group 

Come join in the fun.  The annual FAMILY ADVENT WORKSHOP will be in December.  What a fun way to begin the Christmas season.  There will be lots to do for all ages and it will be during the Sunday School hour.  Watch for details; we hope you all can come.

With Christmas not that far away, we have started practicing our Christmas songs for the Christmas Program.  We really would like to have all children participate, so please come to Sunday School and practice with us.

Sunday School for the 3yr-olds – preschool has started out wonderfully; so many smiley faces.  We welcome ages 2years to 5years.  Visitors are welcome too!
