The United Church of Christ congregations of Ogallala and Brule, Nebraska, extend a warm invitation for you to join GOD'S family in GOD'S country. The Ogallala and Brule churches are located in southwestern Nebraska along the South Platte River and just off Interstate 80. Ogallala is the county seat for Keith County with a county population of over 10,000. The community of Brule is just eight miles west of Ogallala. Both congregations are centrally located and share ministerial duties.

Besides worship, strong emphasis is placed on family and community needs, and they enjoy a supportive and generous spiritual communion. Many programs between the two churches support these needs. Some programs include: Interdenominational Lenten and Thanksgiving services, Meals-0n-Wheels, Circles, Bible Studies, and an active participation in the Ogallala and Big Springs Ministerial Associations. The "Jumble Shop", which is located at 55 East River Road in Ogallala, is coordinated by the Women's Fellowship of the Ogallala congregation, and provides good used clothing and household items for the community at bargain prices. The hours of the Jumble Shop are Wednesday and Saturday afternoons, 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. Donations of good used items are also accepted at these times, at that location.

Ogallala and Brule are major tourist pipelines to Lake McConaughy, the number one tourist destination in western Nebraska. The area is rich in history, having the Oregon Trail, Texas Trail and Pony Express passing along the South Platte River, and the Mormon Trail passing along the North Platte River. Brule will soon be the site of the Nebraska National Trails Museum.

Brule Sunday Worship service begins at 9:00 a.m., with Sunday School following at 10:00 a.m. The women of the Brule congregation host a quilting "gathering" each Wednesday at the Church Fellowship Hall.

The Ogallala facilities are handicap accessible and are also equipped to serve the hearing impaired. The Ogallala Sunday School, preschool through adult, begins at 9:15 a.m. Coffee fellowship in the Ogallala Church Fellowship Hall begins at 10:15 a.m., and Worship service starts at 10:45 a.m. There is an adult Bible study at 12 noon each Wednesday, and a "Working Women's" Bible study at 12 noon each Thursday.
